Visiting Hylio Again . . . . . . . . . America's Urgent Need to Solidify Drone Supply Chains and Agriculture
Dipping back in on a small firm we targeted previously . . . . . . . . .

This Is Not Investment Advice
This post relates to a highly illiquid, risky, and speculative investment move made by me. Given that, allow me to first cover some disclosures:
Every single move I make, whether in the public or private markets, could be a complete and total failure
Investing in startups is very risky
I don’t “spread my bets around” with startups/private but rather the opposite . . . . . . . focus on likelihood of surviving and achieving success/exit
NOBODY knows the correct valuation for an early stage startup
The earlier the better . . . . . . . much rather compete at the toughest point possible rather than getting long at $20B and demanding a $100B exit at some point
Will this business survive and make it?????? If I feel like I like my odds with that answer, then ensure the opportunity is big enough and plausible. A small pizza shop here in Boston might survive forever, but I’m not investing in it.
I invested in StartEngine.com back in the fall of 2019
If I make a move on StartEngine.com I’ll share it here, but there won’t be a lot of moves made in all likelihood
Here is the initial report/analysis on Hylio.
I’m not investing again simply because of the below, but I am enamored by the macro tailwinds here in terms of America’s commitment to drones and agriculture:

The initial report linked above still stands although the company’s results (in terms of what they have conveyed) and the macro FA forces have improved. Projecting $70M in annual sales in a couple years and have raised way below $10M total - I like that tenacity.
I’m in again. Small play. I only go bigger on these in certain scenarios.
