Thoughts and observations:
Had a slew of downside protection in and out really since October but more so open and alive since early to mid-January . . . . . more moves than I typically make . . . . NO they did NOT all cash in the money . . . . . overall they did quite well . . . . some of them (maybe 25% or so) I closed intentionally at a modest loss given the scenario at that time to avoid further cash burn on a hedge . . . .
My QQQ Calls did generate a very robust return . . . . though I did NOT execute all that great of an entry . . . . sprinkled over a couple sessions in late March . . . .
Long BITU since low 60’s . . . . dumped a little under half of it . . . .
These actions do not mean “I am bearish now and expecting a crash” . . . . really no change overall in my posture or stance . . . . . will say that most of the action and fun during this bounce is more at the index level . . . . . and although junk debt is doing ok not exactly rocketing higher . . . . BTC has an “easy” Low Volume Gap it currently sits inside so where’s the real pop . . . . Leading Stocks not getting dinged much but where’s the real juice . . . .
Higher Time Frame Money Flow is kinda sorta trending nice on many levels but not exploding higher . . . . .
Raising another notable amount of cash now with these moves . . . . . .
Flexibility . . . .
Market is a discounting mechanism . . . .
Hedging is managing risk not throwing a party or acting like a teenager on TikTok . . . .
On BTC mind is open to that push to 78-80 and all the way up to 86-90 . . . . . not sold it will be a straight line . . . . . could enter more or add/tweak in some way plus I have to manage the mining business . . . .
